Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile is the listing that appears in Maps and the local pack. Ranking there depends on completeness and correct categorisation, proximity to the searcher, and prominence built through reviews, photos and regular activity. An unclaimed or half-filled profile is the most common reason a local business is invisible in Maps.
Prices shown are starting points. The final cost depends on the size and scope of your project, and we confirm it in writing before any work begins.
Most profiles we take over are perhaps a third complete. A name, an address, one category, four photos from three years ago. Everything else (services, attributes, products, hours exceptions, the description) is empty, and each empty field is a relevance signal not being sent.
Category selection alone moves rankings more than most owners expect. The primary category carries the most weight, and picking a broader one because it sounds better is a common and costly mistake. 'Dentist' and 'Cosmetic Dentist' compete in different result sets.
Then there is activity. Google favours profiles that are maintained: posts, fresh photos, answered questions, replied-to reviews. It is unglamorous weekly work, and it is what separates the profile that ranks from the identical business next door that does not.

Questions people actually ask
How long does it take to rank in the local pack?
Profile optimisation often shows movement within two to four weeks: it is one of the fastest-responding things in search. Competitive urban categories take longer and depend heavily on review volume relative to the businesses currently ranking.
My profile got suspended. Can you fix it?
Usually. Suspensions typically follow an address or category change, a virtual office address, or a keyword-stuffed business name. Reinstatement means correcting the cause and appealing with documentation. It takes time and it is generally recoverable.
Should I put keywords in my business name?
No. It violates Google's guidelines and is one of the most common suspension triggers. Competitors doing it can be reported through a redressal request, which is a legitimate and often effective response.
How many photos should I upload?
A steady stream beats a one-time bulk upload. Aim for a few every month: exterior, interior, team, work in progress, products. Recency is a signal, and photos are what people actually look at before choosing.
Do I have to respond to negative reviews?
Yes, and it matters more than responding to positive ones. Prospective customers read how you handle criticism. A calm, specific reply that offers to resolve the issue offline does more for you than the review does against you.
Can I manage multiple locations?
Yes. Each location needs its own profile with its own categories, photos and reviews. Beyond about ten locations, bulk management through the Business Profile API becomes worthwhile.
Do Google Business Profile posts affect ranking?
Posts are not a direct ranking factor, but they keep the listing active: they add fresh content, they surface offers and updates inside the panel itself, and profiles that are maintained hold their position better than dormant ones.
How often should I post on Google Business Profile?
Weekly is enough. Most post types expire after seven days, so a weekly cadence keeps the panel populated without turning into a content job. That cadence is included from ₹6,000.
